Exceeding Theoretical Consumption

GUI for choosing the notification

Purpose of the notification​

The Exceeding theoretical consumption notification alerts you when the measured daily consumption exceeds TC (theoretical consumption) increased by the configured tolerance.

This notification is available only for entities where the TC feature is enabled and where the required coefficients for computing TC are set for the selected energy.

Procedure​

Creating the notification​

  1. Click Exceeding theoretical consumption Filling out the form
  2. In Enter notification name, enter any name (e.g. Theoretical consumption – Prague offices)
  3. Select the energy to be evaluated
  4. Select the entity:
    • only entities with the TC feature available are shown in search
    • you cannot select an entity that does not have the required coefficients set for computing TC for the selected energy
  5. Set the tolerance as a percentage of TC (e.g. 10%)
  6. Set the delay – the number of hours after which the end-of-day evaluation should run
  7. Optionally fill in Send message with a note or description
  8. In Select recipients, choose who should receive the notification
  9. Click Save

Behavior and logic​

  • The notification is evaluated daily only
  • The evaluation range is always the full previous day
  • The threshold is defined as TC + tolerance (%)
  • During creation, the system validates that the selected entity has the required coefficients set for computing TC for the selected energy

Triggering and delivery​

  • The notification is not sent in real time; it is evaluated in batches
  • The evaluation time depends on:
    • the customer’s time zone (localized evaluation)
    • the configured delay
  • By default, the evaluation job runs every hour at xx:11 and evaluates notifications for the past period while accounting for the configured delay
  • The notification is delivered to selected recipients via email

Soft failure (TC not available)​

If TC is not available at evaluation time (e.g. due to missing readings or incomplete computation), the evaluation is treated as a soft failure:

  • evaluation does not run
  • the user is informed
  • the system suggests increasing the delay to allow more time for TC to be computed

Scope and limitations​

  • The notification is available only for entities with TC support
  • The notification is available only for energies where the selected entity has the required coefficients set for computing TC
