Notifications
Notifications automatically inform users about important events in the system.
Notifications can be:
- automatic - e.g. notifications about price list expiry or meter calibration expiry.
- user-defined - configured manually based on the user’s specific needs.
Types of notifications
Various notification types are available and can be configured manually. The specific type is selected when creating a new notification.
Individual notification types allow you to:
-
monitor consumption, production, or costs over time, including period comparisons
-
detect when defined limits or theoretical consumption values are exceeded
-
work with specific metrics (e.g. consumption per unit of production)
-
monitor data availability (e.g. missing readings)
-
track continuous data series (e.g. temperature, humidity, air quality), typically to detect threshold exceedance
-
send notifications on a fixed date or in connection with public holidays
The current list of notification types and their descriptions is displayed when creating a new notification.

Note on consumption evaluation:
Some notification types handle periods differently.
The Consumption from the beginning of the period notification continuously monitors the current period from its start. It is also possible to limit the evaluation to selected hours (e.g. from 8:00 to 17:00).
The Consumption notification evaluates the entire selected period retrospectively.
Unexpected night water consumption notification
Another feature of the Enectiva application is the Unexpected night water consumption notification. This notification is particularly useful in facilities that are not in operation during certain parts of the day. For example, offices where no employees are present at night and no water consumption is expected.
For water meters, a grey eye icon is automatically displayed in the meter list.

To turn on alerting for the Unexpected night water consumption notification, click the grey eye icon. The icon turns blue, the notification is activated, and it appears in the list of notifications.

Clicking the blue icon opens the settings page, where you can adjust alerting. The notification can also be edited or deleted on the Notifications page. After deletion, the eye icon for the given meter turns grey again.
The Unexpected night water consumption notification is evaluated automatically using an analysis of historical data from the last four weeks. Based on this data, a four-hour time window with the lowest total consumption is identified and considered the night period. If there is insufficient data, a default interval of 23:00–03:00 is used. A typical night-time consumption level is then calculated, and exceeding this level triggers a notification.
To configure unexpected night water consumption manually, use the Consumption from the beginning of the period notification. With this notification type, you can define a time interval and a consumption threshold. A notification is sent when the specified threshold is exceeded.
